OH my god waiting is dull. Or maybe I'm just bad at it. I knew I would be! Not that that helps.

I have Braxton-Hicks contractions with increasing frequency, and the pressure on my bladder is just getting stronger and stronger. Seriously, I feel like I have to pee like a racehorse all the time -- there's so much PRESSURE! It's different from having a UTI -- but whenever I try, it's inevitably disappointing. Also, Spawny seems to enjoy poking me in the bladder a lot, too. It's kind of sharp and painful, and it often makes me draw my breath in sharply. This almost always makes dilletante look over and wobble my belly comfortingly, which is both cute and comforting. I've lost at least some of my mucus plug, but I have no idea how much there is to lose. Maybe I have some left! Who knows? The cervix is a mystery. But I'm hanging in there.

Today, I had an excellent and distracting lunch with aroraborealis at the Porter Exchange. Afterwards, I found a kiosk selling メロンパン (a little melon-flavored bun with a melon cookie on top, basically). MELON PAN! I had to have some. I also picked up a little Japanese coffee in a can, in the hopes that this little treat would remind my uterus of Japan and what it felt like to be empty. No luck yet.
