Oh my god, whoever first told me "molars suck" wins the prize for most incredibly true statement I've heard in a really long time.

N just woke up from sleep, crying a bit, which usually just means she needs cuddles. I administered the appropriate doseage, but the crying just got worse and worse. Soon it was all-out pained wailing, like "MOMMY I HAVE A CHESTBURSTER, PLEASE HELP ME" wailing; I held her and whispered soothing things while D searched frantically for the Tylenol.

She pointed sadly and emphatically to her cheek in between rigid body-racking cries. He found the Tylenol. Five minutes later, they were merely loud sobs. Five minutes after that, they were snores. I came upstairs to write this post, and while I was writing the word "rigid", she started sobbing again (D has now taken on the role of "cuddling parent").

Seriously, I don't think I've ever heard her cry like this. It's awful. I'm so happy painkillers exist.
