So, a week or two ago, N and I were driving in the car and she told me that her goose was "really really hungry!".

Me: Oh yeah? What does it want to eat?
N: ...Gouda?
Me: Oh, gouda! It's a gouda goose?
N: GOUDA GOOSE!
Me: GOUDA GOOSE!
N: .....GOOSA!!! *giggle*
Me: Goosa?
N: GOOSA! Gouda goose! GOOSA! Goosa.

She still refers to it as the "goosa" every so often. Similarly, her pink binky is a "BINK! *giggle*" (the giggle is mandatory), and the other day after reciting "whack whack whack!" from Hand Hand Fingers Thumb, she asked me if she could have some "whackolate". I said no -- it sounded messy. Today, when she did not pick up the cookie-cutter and the book off of the floor like I asked, and I did it instead, she said "Mommy picked up the bookie-cutter".

This girl is supremely silly.

She's also fascinated by more nonsensical noiseplay. Randomly shouting "EIEIO!!!" was quickly boring, so she quickly moved on to "BE BI BE BI BO!" or "DE DI DE DI DO!", but if one is to suggest, say, "fee fi fee fi fo", she giggles and says NOOOOO. So I was interested when she switched from BE BI BE BI BO! to PE PI PE PI PO! the other day and kept collapsing in giggles. Similarly DE DI DE DI DO --> TE TI TE TI TO, because clearly, in both cases she had meant the voiced version of the consonant. I blame D, and the silly game they play where she calles him "Datty".

I also love the sometimes hyper-perfect sentence structure. Like when we were reading a book together about daddy animals and their kids, and she pointed at the little wolf and told me, "that is not a wolf. That is a dog." "Oh, really?" I asked. "Yes. THAT is a wolf." *pointed at the big wolf* "THAT is NOT a wolf." *pointed at the little wolf*. OK, then! Today at lunch, while she was on her third pat (don't look at me that way), she told me, "I am eating butter." But I think the best was last night's -- I was reading a book in the living room while starphire gave the girls a bath in the next room, and I heard her triumphantly proclaim, "I HAVE FARTED!"

Anyway, she's wicked cute.
