Stuff I have heard Natalie say, totally intelligibly:
mommy
daddy
nanny
dirty
Ember
bed (she woke up yesterday and triumphantly proclaimed, "BED!")
tree
teeth
cheese ("sheeesh!")
keys
tea
baby ("beeebee! beebee!")
cup ("cupcupcupcupcup")
poop
cat
shoe
up
down
hummus
cook
car ("cauuwwww. caaauuuwwwWWW.")
that ("dat")
knee
bubble ("bubww")
kick
ball
eyeball
home
happy
yes!
not really intelligible unless you know: balloon ("bbbbbbbbbbbmmmmmm!"), cracker, diaper, moose, hair. Bunches more stuff she's tried to repeat once or twice but hasn't produced on her own. A couple of short sentences.
I think there are more... I'll add them as I think of them. These days, I hear a new word just about every evening.

Date: 2007-04-28 01:21 am (UTC)We did not get a repeat performance, but it was quite amusing.
He KINDA has words. I can't really get him to show me that he really knows what he's saying. But I know for sure he has "fish" (isshhhh!) because he runs up to the fish tank and points to it and says "fish" every morning after breakfast.
He's kinda saying "hi" and "dada" and "mama" but not consistently enough for us to know if it's babling or not.
Still... I like the idea of him just starting to talk by proclaiming his accomplishments!
